Agile Governance - Presentation at the 4th Project Management Congress in Luxemburg

From Governance to Project Management: Scrum?

The 22th of October, I've got the pleasure to present the Agile approach responding to Governance problems.

The presentation scope was to give an answer to the report of Fedil-ICT and CRP Henri Tudor « Gouvernance IT et rôle du CIO dans les entreprises luxembourgeoises : Etat des lieux et bonnes pratiques » and to The Report « Improving IT Governance. Manage, control and monitor IT within the Business » from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

My key objective was to let know that agility is not only for Software Developers but also to manage and lead Projects.

An Agile Governance can be driven with AgileEVM who is SCRUM+EVM (earned value management).

Kick-Off “Agile User Group Saar - Luxembourg”

Als Antwort auf die schwergewichtigen Vorgehensmodelle der Anforderungsanalyse und der Anwendungsentwicklung wie zum Beispiel das V-Modell oder den Rational Unified Process (RUP) ist ein "agiles" Vorgehen in der Softwareentwicklung entstanden.Agile Entwicklungsmethoden versprechen nicht nur eine im Gegensatz zu klassische Softwareentwicklungsmodellen erhöhte Produktivität, sondern auch die Ausrichtung der Softwaregestaltung an den Wünschen der Kunden und Endanwender.Agiles Projektmanagement heißt Risikominimierung, denn die Komplexität wird beherrschbar.In einer gemeinsamen Kick-Off-Veranstaltung der "Agile User Group Saar" und der "Agile Interest Group Luxembourg" möchten wir Ihnen einen Einblick in die agile Vorgehensweise geben. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, Interessierte der Region zusammen zu bringen und mit Ihnen gemeinsam eine Plattform zum regelmäßigen Austausch aufzubauen.Die AIGLU ist eine in Luxembourg etablierte Diskussionsplattform. Zusammen mit ihrem saarländischen Zweig veranstaltetet die AIGLU in diesem Oktober den Event "Agile Tour 2009" (www.agiletour.org).Die kick-off Veranstaltung findet am 04.11.09 von 18:00 - 20:00 Uhr an der Universität des Saarlandes im Gebäude E1 3 statt (Informatik).Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.
